Ladies and Gentlemen, there was no news this month... Well if it's good enough for the BBC back in the good old days when radio announcers had to wear dinner suits, it's good enough for me. For those of you who aren't avid followers of QI, I'm thinking of the excellent fact that Stephen Fry revealed about Good Friday 1930: the BBC evening news report consisted solely of one of the aforementioned besuited announcers coming on and saying "Ladies and Gentlemen, there is no news tonight, so here is some light music". Thems was therr days, I tell 'ee ;-)
