Being a restrained and British kind of chap, this is about as close to shouting from the rooftops as I can get...

I GOT IN TO CAMBRIDGE!

It's been possibly the most terrifying experience of my life, but it's all worth it... providing of course I get 3As in my A levels, but in comparison that seems almost straightforward... I shall go away and try to calm down now...

I've just written myself a little ToDo list for the last week of holidays before I return to school. It's looking like I'm going to have to be a very busy fellow to get even half of it done, so of course what I'm doing now is updating my website instead... Sometimes, I really hate the fact that I have my mother's procrastinatory genes. Or, to put it another way: "you know, I blame the parents" ;-)

What bothers me more than anything else is realising that I've had the biggest chunk of the holidays already, and that they've been the longest winter holiday schools in the county have seen for 15 years. So why have I not achieved anything at all in that time - not even things that I really want to do, for my own enjoyment, like reading one of my favourite books of all time? I can blame part of it on the fact that there's only been one occasion when I've been at home all day, but there have been plenty of spots which I shouldn't have squandered quite so readily. I guess I'm just sucky at pushing myself out of the sitting-around groove when I don't have any deadlines or such things... :-(

I'm just a continual disappointment, aren't I...
